Johnnie Walker

Johnnie Walker, MBE is an English radio disc jockey and broadcaster. He began his career on pirate radio, most notably on Radio Caroline. He joined BBC Radio 1 in 1969 and BBC Radio 2 in 1998. Since 2009, he has presented Sounds of the 70s on Radio 2 on Sunday afternoons and The Radio 2 Rock Show on Friday nights since 2018. On 6 October 2024, Walker announced his retirement from radio after 58 years because of ill health. His final show will air on 27 October.
