Johnnie L. Cochran Jr.

Johnnie L Cochran Jr. was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He began his acting career with roles in the series "Martin" (Fox, 1991-97) and "Arli$" (HBO, 1996-2003). He had an early role on the television special "Bob Jones: Godfather of Black Hollywood" (BET, 1994-95). He also appeared in the TV special "The 1998 Soul Train Christmas Starfest" (1998-99). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "CHiPs '99" (TNT, 1998-99). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Johnnie Cochran Tonight" (BET, 1998-99). He also appeared in the documentary "Jim Brown: All American" (2002) with Jim Brown. He held additional roles in television including a part on "Soul Food" (2000-04). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "True Life: I Am Driving While Black" (MTV, 1999-2000) and "Shades of Progress, Shadows of Hate" (MSNBC, 2000-01). Cochran last appeared in "Guilty Pleasure: The Extraordinary World of Dominick Dunne" (truTV, 2003-04). Cochran passed away in March 2005.
