A serial arsonist who targets the homes of upper-middle-class families as they sleep is investigated.

The ghost, Anna Fowler, asks Melinda to help find her daughter, Lane, claiming that Lane needs Anna's help. When Melinda finds her, Lane refuses to see her mother. After Anna attacks Lane's fiance, Tim, Melinda learns a secret that applies equally to both mother and daughter. In order for Anna to cross over, Melinda must help both mother and daughter acknowledge their shared past.

Tensions continue to mount between Jane and Maura, causing those close to them to be caught in the middle, but the two must put aside their differences to investigate the case of a college student who died in a tunnel. Meanwhile, Jane’s father, Frankie Sr. (recurring guest star CHAZZ PALMINTERI – The Usual Suspects, Hurlyburly, Bullets Over Broadway), returns with news that upsets Angela. Recurring guest star COLIN EGGLESFIELD (Something Borrowed, Melrose Place) also appears.

When Clark's badge is stolen, the squad scrambles to find the thief before Clark must report the loss, which could ruin his career. McDowell and Gibson investigate a murder involving a young pregnant girl.

King Silas (Ian McShane) sends David (Chris Egan) on a quest to recover a national treasure, the Charter of Gilboa. While on the mission, David discovers shocking information about his father’s death. Meanwhile, Jack’s engagement to Katrina (guest star Leslie Bibb) brings grief from Queen Rose (Susanna Thompson) and generosity from Silas. Allison Miller, Dylan Baker and Eamonn Walker also star.
