John MacLaren

John MacLaren was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. MacLaren had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "Terminal City Ricochet" (1991), "Time Runner" (1993) and "Floating Away" (1998) with Rosanna Arquette. He also appeared in the TV movie "Dead Ahead: The Exxon Valdez Disaster" (HBO, 1992-93). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "The Commish" (1991-95) and "The X-Files" (Fox, 1993-2002). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Tommy Lee Jones blockbuster action picture "Double Jeopardy" (1999) and the Dennis Quaid smash hit sci-fi feature "The Day After Tomorrow" (2004). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Beggars and Choosers" (Showtime, 1999-2001). In his more recent career, he tackled roles in the Philip Seymour Hoffman crime drama "Capote" (2005), the Matt Lanter action movie "War Games 2: The Dead Code" (2008) and the fantastical drama "Upside Down" (2013) with Jim Sturgess. He held additional roles in television including a part on "Haven" (Syfy, 2009-2015). Most recently, MacLaren acted in the biographical drama "Race" (2016) with Stephan James.
