John Ducey

Known by squealing preteen girls everywhere as Tom Lucas, father of the Jonas Brothers on their Disney series, "Jonas," John Ducey has been acting onscreen since 1994. He got his start with a bit role in the made-for-TV movie "One Woman's Courage" as an assistant prosecutor in an assault case. After small parts in other films such as "High School High" and the apocalyptic "Deep Impact," he scored a supporting role in the little-seen dark comedy "Zack and Reba" in 1998. He followed this with a string of guest appearances on various sitcoms into the next year, when he was cast as Ford Lowell, a recently out-of-the-closet lawyer living with two of his college buddies, on the short-lived comedy "Oh, Grow Up." In 1998 Ducey briefly appeared on an episode of "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," and was brought back in 2002 for a recurring role. Though he has been quite prolific, with guest spots on several prominent network series, Ducey is easily most recognizable for his work on "Jonas," due in large part to the immense following the Jonas Brothers have cultivated through their music and films with Disney. While he's not quite the heartthrob that the trio are perceived as being, Ducey's visibility nonetheless increased exponentially as a result of the show.
