Joe Louis
Joe Louis was a talented boxer who was also involved in the world of entertainment. Louis's career beginnings included film roles in "Spirit of Youth" (1937), "This Is the Army" (1943) and the dramatic sports film "The Square Jungle" (1956) with Tony Curtis. Louis also appeared in "The Super Fight" (1969), "A.K.A. Cassius Clay" (1970) and "The Phynx" with A Michael Miller (1970). He also worked on "Water and Power" with Joel Loriman (1991) and "When We Were Kings" (1996) starring Muhammad Ali. Louis was most recently credited in "The Legend of Bagger Vance" (2000) with Will Smith. Louis passed away in April 1981 at the age of 67.
