Joan Prather

Joan Prather was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Prather had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the crime flick "Big Bad Mama" (1974) with Angie Dickinson, the comedy "Smile" (1975) with Bruce Dern and the action flick "The Devil's Rain" (1975) with Ernest Borgnine. She also appeared in the TV movie "Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway" (NBC, 1976-77). She worked in television in her early acting career as well, including parts on "Eight Is Enough" (ABC, 1976-1981) and "Executive Suite" (CBS, 1976-77). She also appeared in the TV special "Battle of the Network Stars VIII" (ABC, 1979-1980). She also starred in the TV movies "The Deerslayer" (NBC, 1978-79) and "Sins of the Father" (NBC, 1984-85). She also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "Rabbit Test" (1978) and the Robert Hays comedy adaptation "Take This Job and Shove It" (1981). Additionally, she appeared on the television special "Protect and Surf" (ABC, 1988-89). She held additional roles in television including a part on "Crossroads" (ABC, 1992-93). Most recently, Prather appeared on "Eight Is Enough: The E! True Hollywood Story" (E! Networks, 1999-2000).
