Jo Ann Harris

Jo Ann Harris was an actress with a strong presence in film throughout her Hollywood career. Harris started her acting career landing roles in such films as the Fabian crime flick "Maryjane" (1968), the comedy "The Gay Deceivers" (1969) with Kevin Coughlin and the action flick "The Sporting Club" (1971) with Robert Fields. She also appeared in "The Beguiled" (1971), "Act of Vengeance" (1974) and "The Parallax View" (1974) with Warren Beatty. She continued to act in productions like the Tim McIntire musical "American Hot Wax" (1978). She also landed a role in the miniseries "Rich Man, Poor Man" (1975-76). She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Most Wanted" (ABC, 1976-77). Harris continued to exercise her talent in the eighties, taking on a mix of projects like "Xanadu" (1980), "Come Back to the 5 & Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" (1982) and "The Killing Fields" (1984) starring Sam Waterston. Her credits also expanded to "Oliver & Company" (1988). Harris more recently voiced characters in "The Simpsons" (Fox, 1989-).
