Jimmy Boyd
Jimmy Boyd was an actor who made a successful career for himself in film. Boyd started off his acting career mostly in film roles, appearing in the musical comedy "High Time" (1960) with Bing Crosby, the dramatic adaptation "Inherit the Wind" (1960) with Spencer Tracy and the Mickey Rooney drama "Platinum High School" (1960). Boyd worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Bachelor Father" (CBS, 1957-1962). He continued to act in productions like the Eddie Albert comedic fantasy "The Two Little Bears" (1961) and "Norwood" (1970) with Glen Campbell. He also appeared in the TV special "The House Next Door" (NBC, 1963-64). Boyd's music was most recently featured in the Kate Winslet dramatic comedy "Holy Smoke" (1999). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Space Force" (NBC, 1977-78). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Saturday Night Live" (NBC, 1975-). Boyd passed away in March 2009 at the age of 70.
