Jerry Desmonde
Jerry Desmonde was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Desmonde's career beginnings included film roles in the Sid Field musical "London Town" (1946), the romance "Malta Story" (1953) with Alec Guinness and the comedy "Trouble in Store" (1955) with Norman Wisdom. Desmonde next focused his career on film, appearing in the comedy "A King in New York" (1957) with Charlie Chaplin, "A Kind of Loving" (1962) and the Sidney James comedy "Carry on Regardless" (1963). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Stolen Hours" (1963) with Susan Hayward and the Ian Hendry drama "The Beauty Jungle" (1966). Desmonde was most recently credited in "Blade on the Feather" (1989) with Tom Conti. Desmonde passed away in February 1967 at the age of 59.
