Jeremy Camp
Born in Lafayette, IN, Jeremy Camp is an American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter. Camp's father, a pastor, taught him how to play guitar. After high school, Camp attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, Calif., where he received an associate of theology degree and was ordained a minister. In 2000, Camp released his first independent album, "Burden Me," followed by his first label album, "Stay," in 2002. Camp and his first wife, Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp, were married on October 21, 2000. She passed away on February 5, 2001 due to ovarian cancer. On December 15, 2003, Camp married Adrienne Liesching. Between 2002 and 2017, Jeremy released 11 albums, four of them RIAA-certified as Gold. His original music, a mixture of ballads and up-tempo rock songs, has earned him numerous awards and nominations across the Christian and secular music industries. On May 20, 2011, Camp released his first book, "I Still Believe." A film with the same title, based on Camp's relationship with his first wife Melissa Henning-Camp, was released in March 2020. Also in 2020, Camp and his current wife released a book about marriage. Jeremy Camp continues to share his journey and passion for music.
