Jennie Finch

Born, in La Mirada, Calif., American softball pitcher and first baseman Jennie Finch was once described by "Time" magazine as the most famous softball player in history. Finch played softball in both high school and college, where she was a winner at the 2001 Women's College World Series, before going on to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Team. She played for the U.S. at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, where she helped the team win the gold medal. She returned to the Olympics for the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing, and helped lead the U.S. team to the silver medal that year. Finch also pitched for the Chicago Bandits, part of the National Pro Fastpitch softball league, from 2005 until 2010. In 2010, she decided to retire from the game. The following year, she began working for ESPN as a color commentator. In April 2018, it was announced that Finch would be joining the cast of Season 26 of "Dancing with the Stars" (ABC, 2005-) as part of a special all-athlete competition.
