Jed Brophy

An accomplished stuntman, actor Jed Brophy has worked alongside director Peter Jackson since the early '90s. Their long collaboration began with Brophy's minor role in the gory horror comedy "Dead Alive," and continued through the dark crime fantasy "Heavenly Creatures" and the 2005 remake of "King Kong." Several of his films have required extensive prosthetic makeup; he played a variety of background characters in the enormously successful "Lord of the Rings" trilogy; appeared as a police prawn in the sleeper sci-fi hit "District 9"; and in 2012, was cast as warrior dwarf Nori in Jackson's highly anticipated "The Hobbit" trilogy.
