Jarmila Novotna

Jarmila Novotna was an actress who made a successful career for herself in film. Novotna began her career with a role in the documentary "The Search" (1948) with Montgomery Clift. Later, Novotna acted in the biopic "The Great Caruso" (1951) with Mario Lanza and "Die Fledermaus" (PBS, 1986-87). Later in her career, Novotna appeared on "Toscanini: The Maestro" (PBS, 1987-88). Novotna passed away in February 1994 at the age of 86.
