James Phelps
James Phelps's early interest in acting led him to be cast in the role of Fred Weasley, one half of the prankster Weasley twins, in the "Harry Potter" movies. Along with his brother Oliver, who plays Fred's twin brother, George, Phelps was cast in the role after his mother took the boys to an open audition in early 2000. Both brothers impressed the film's casting directors; they met with several members of the production crew, including director Chris Columbus, and were told they had the parts. Phelps was a newcomer to the film acting world at the time, and has since appeared in only one other role that wasn't in a "Harry Potter" movie, a guest appearance on the British sitcom "Kingdom." Aside from his acting credits, Phelps has worked as a runner on "The Da Vinci Code" and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."
