Jade Yorker

While growing up in New Jersey, Jade Yorker became interested in acting at a young age. At the age of 12, he appeared in with 1998's "Hell's Kitchen," a tense crime thriller co-starring Angelina Jolie and Rosanna Arquette. That same year, Yorker had a prominent role in Spike Lee's basketball drama "He Got Game" as young Jesus Shuttlesworth, with Denzel Washington playing his father, Jake. Yorker then jumped to television, where he had a recurring role as Kevin in Bill Cosby's second TV series, the sitcom "Cosby." Although Yorker would appear in comedic movies such the family film "Snow Day," he also consistently returned to dramatic roles, guest-starring on television dramas like "Third Watch" and "Law & Order," as well as the acclaimed David Simon HBO mini-series "The Corner," which revolved around the drug trade in Baltimore. Yorker, an excellent athlete in his youth, again acted in a sports-themed drama with 2006's "Gridiron Gang." He played the important role of Willie Weathers, a teen gang member at a detention facility who joins the football team started by an officer (Dwayne Johnson) at the center. When a rival gang member appears on his team, Willie begins to question his own loyalties. Yorker moved on to explore more dramatic roles in the crime films "Weapons" and "Code Blue."
