Jacques Marin

Jacques Marin

A prolific character actor with a knack for playing the epitome of the Frenchman, Jacques Marin won plenty of roles in his homeland and abroad, thanks to his strong English. One of Marin's earliest parts was in the lauded 1952 French war drama "Forbidden Games," though he was primarily relegated to bit roles during the subsequent decade. By the early 1960s, however, Marin's career picked up, with a memorable turn in the classic Paris-set mystery film "Charade." While major parts largely eluded Marin, he did have prominent roles in the 1974 adventure movie "The Island at the Top of The World" and the Disney comedy "Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo."
