Jacob Young
Actor Jacob Young proved to be a major force in daytime TV, starring on four hit soap operas. Born in Renton, Washington, Young participated in high school and community theater as a teenager. Though he was also a nationally ranked wrestler, acting proved to be Young's major passion. At the age of 18, he moved to Los Angeles in the hopes of pursuing his dream as a full time actor. That same year, Young caught his first big break when he was cast in the role of Rick Forrester on "The Bold and the Beautiful" (CBS, 1987-). The role led to a Daytime Emmy nomination for the actor, who proved to be a major hit with fans. Two years later, he quit the series to take on a new role, playing Lucky, son of famous soap couple Luke and Laura Spencer on "General Hospital" (ABC, 1963-). He won a Daytime Emmy for his performance, but by 2003, Young was ready to switch shows again, this time moving into the role of J.R. Chandler on "All My Children" (ABC, 1970-2011). He stuck with the series until its cancellation in 2011, racking up two more Daytime Emmy nominations along the way. In 2012, he reprised the role of Rick Forrester, joining the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful" once again.
