J. Karen Thomas
Actress J Karen Thomas was most commonly known for her roles in television dramas. Early on, Thomas landed roles on various dramatic series, including "In the Heat of the Night" (CBS, 1987-1994), "I'll Fly Away" (NBC, 1991-93) and "Savannah" (WB, 1995-96). She also appeared in the TV movie "Nashville Beat" (The Nashville Network, 1989-1990). She continued to work steadily in television dramas throughout the nineties, appearing on "Total Security" (ABC, 1997-98), "Any Day Now" (Lifetime, 1998-2002) and "Charmed" (WB, 1998-2006). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Mutiny" (NBC, 1998-99). More recently, she tackled roles on "Criminal Minds" (2005-), "Nashville" (ABC, 2012-) and "The Red Road" (SundanceTV, 2013-15). She also appeared in the Robin Williams drama "Boulevard" (2015). Thomas most recently acted in the dramatic adaptation "Captive" (2015) with David Oyelowo.
