India.Arie
India.Arie worked on a variety of projects during her entertainment career. She appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Concert For New York City" (2001-02), "Women Rock! Girls & Guitars" (Lifetime, 2001-02) and "7th Annual BET Walk of Fame" (BET, 2001-02). India.Arie also contributed music to the dramatic comedy "Bamboozled" (2000) with Damon Wayans. In the early 2000s, India.Arie's music mostly appeared in films like "Brown Sugar" (2002), the John Leguizamo crime feature "Empire" (2002) and the Cuba Gooding Jr. dramatic adaptation "Radio" (2003). Her work was also in the Will Smith hit action picture "Shark Tale" (2004). India.Arie wrote musical scores featured in the Sarah Jessica Parker blockbuster dramatic adaptation "Sex and the City" (2008), the dramatic adaptation "The Secret Life of Bees" (2008) with Queen Latifah and the Gugu Mbatha-Raw romance "Beyond the Lights" (2014). In addition to her music, India.Arie also appeared on-screen in "Pastor Brown" (2013) with Salli Richardson-Whitfield. Most recently, India.Arie worked on "Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life- An All-Star Grammy Salute" (CBS, 2014-15).
