Iain Cuthbertson
Actor Iain Cuthbertson was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Tom Brown's Schooldays" (PBS, 1972-73) and "Caesar and Cleopatra" (NBC, 1975-76). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "First Among Equals" (PBS, 1986-87). He also appeared in the TV special "Sweet Danger" (PBS, 1990-91). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "Gorillas in the Mist" (1988) with Sigourney Weaver and "Scandal" (1989) with Joanne Whalley. He also played parts in television during these years, including roles in "Supergran" (1986-87) and "Agatha Christie's Poirot" (PBS, 1988-2013). Cuthbertson focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the Imelda Staunton comedy "Antonia and Jane" (1991), "Chasing the Deer" (1994) and "The Tichborne Claimant" (1999). He also appeared in the musical "Strictly Sinatra" (2001) with Ian Hart. Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Masonic Mysteries" (PBS, 1991-92). Cuthbertson most recently worked on the animated comedy "Free Birds" (2013) with Owen Wilson.
