Hunt Block

Hunt Block, a Harvard graduate and recipient of both American National Theatre Association and Vivian Beaumont Fellowships, began acting in the early 1980s with appearances in movies such as "Waitress!," "Summer Girl," and "The Lonely Guy." He landed his breakthrough role shortly thereafter, in 1985, playing Peter Hollister in the long-running soap opera "Knots Landing." After a string of supporting roles in made-for-TV movies in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Block won the part of Ben Warren on another soap, "Guiding Light." The role carried the actor into the 2000s, and he continued to act in soap operas, picking up a guest role on "All My Children" and a much more prominent role, as Craig Montgomery, on "As the World Turns." After leaving "As the World Turns" in 2005, Block wasted little time--he picked up a new role on yet another soap opera, this time "One Life to Live." All his hard work and persistence in the soap genre led to not only two Daytime Emmy nominations but also a more lucrative role, playing United States President Lewis, in the blockbuster action thriller "Salt" in 2010; starring alongside Angelina Jolie.
