Hillary Anne Matthews
Hillary Anne Matthews was an American actress who trained at one of the world's most prestigious comedy schools and put all of that training into a successful career in film and television. Born and raised in Orinda, CA, Matthews began studying at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater in 2013, earning the inaugural Thomas Angel Foundation scholarship for women. Her first onscreen appearance was in an episode of the failed American remake of a British sitcom, "Threesome" (Comedy Central, 2015). Matthews got a big break in 2016, when she guest starred on the highly popular sitcom "New Girl" (FOX, 2011-18), and landed her first series regular gig on the streaming comedy "Single by 30" (YouTube Red, 2016). After imbibing quite a bit of alcohol to narrate a tale on "Drunk History" (Comedy Central, 2013-), Matthews joined the cast of the tongue-in-cheek lifestyle talk show "The Elite Daily Show" (go90.com, 2016-17), which lead to a stint as the Driver on the loose "Taxicab Confessions" (HBO, 1995-2006) parody "Driver Share" (go90.com, 2017-). After returning to "Drunk History" to play famous biologist, suffragist, and philanthropist Katharine McCormick, Matthews landed perhaps her biggest role yet, appearing in Zach Braff's tech world sitcom, "Alex, Inc." (ABC, 2018-), which premiered during the 2018 spring TV season.
