Helen Hong
Helen Hong was born in Los Angeles, CA. She started her career in show business as a stand-up comedian, performing on late night television programs like "Last Call with Carson Daly" (NBC 2002-2019). Her acting career began with a voice role in the animated film "Epic" (2013), though that same year she made her live-action screen debut proper with a supporting part in the Coen Brothers' drama film "Inside Llewyn Davis" (2013). From there, Hong made one-off appearances on a number of popular comedy television series, including "New Girl" (Fox 2011-18), "Inside Amy Schumer" (Comedy Central 2013-16), and "Parks and Recreation" (NBC 2009-2015). Meanwhile, she began appearing with increasing regularity on the family series "The Thundermans" (Nickelodeon 2013-18), playing the contentious restaurateur Mrs. Wong, and on the comedy series "Blunt Talk" (Starz 2015-16) as Mrs. Song. All the while, Hong maintained her presence in the stand-up world, and became a popular guest on NPR's comedy quiz show "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!"
