Greg Kelly

Retired US marine, conservative journalist, and anchor Greg Kelly was born in Garden City, New York. The son of the longest-serving Commissioner of the NYPD, Kelly grew up in New York and graduated from Fordham University with a degree in political science. Following graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He served as a pilot for nine years of active duty and retired in 2000 with the rank of lieutenant colonel. He started work as a journalist and joined Fox News in 2002. As a reporter embedded with the Army during the 2003 invasion of Iraq, a mortar explosion near him resulted in a minor shrapnel wound. He returned to host "Good Day New York" (WNYW, 1988-) from 2008 to 2017. In 2020 Greg Kelly joined Newsmax TV to host "Greg Kelly Reports" (Newsmax TV, 2020-).
