Grace Phillips

Tired of a Wall Street career, stage-trained performer Grace Phillips embraced her first love: acting. She gained many fans when she was cast on the ABC daytime drama "One Life to Live" as Sarah Buchanan. Feature credits include the bride at the wedding in Woody Allen's "Crimes and Misdemeanors" (1989) and the contestant who defeats Charles Van Doren (Ralph Fiennes) in Robert Redford's "Quiz Show" (1994). Phillips gained celebrity after being cast as the novice lawyer Lisa Gillespie during the first season of the ABC drama series "Murder One" (1995-96). After starring as a regular on the short-lived crime drama series "Feds" (1997), Phillips had a string of guest roles on series including "Frasier" (NBC, 1998), "The X-Files" (Fox, 1999) and "Nash Bridges" (CBS, 1999). Back on the big screen, she portrayed a teacher in the feature remake of "Leave It to Beaver" (1997) and also acted in that year's "Truth or Consequences, N.M.," playing a yuppie hostage in the quirky independent directed by Kiefer Sutherland. Phillips next co-starred in the romance "Le New Yorker" (1998) and was featured in 1999's "The Best Man."
