Georgia Groome

Georgia Groome is an English actress who made her debut in the television movie "A Fish Out of Water." Roles in the television series "Dangerville" and in the feature film "London to Brighton" followed. The latter film is a hard-hitting crime drama where Groome plays an 11-year-old runaway who is on the run from a pimp who is trying to force her into prostitution. Groome's breakout role, though, was in the 2008 feature "Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging," playing a teenage girl named Georgia who desperately wants a boyfriend as she navigates the pitfalls of young adulthood. Georgia fixates on one boy in particular, Robbie (played by Aaron Johnson), but unfortunately Robbie is the boyfriend of Georgia's most hated rival, Lindsay. Groome subsequently had a small role in the British horror movie "The Disappeared," co-starred in the action thriller "The Holding," and starred in the whimsical ghost story "The Great Ghost Rescue." When not starring in feature films, Groome could be seen in episodes of the long-running British cop show "The Bill" and in the detective series "Inspector Lewis." Groome has also appeared in a number of short films, and in 2009 she received good notices for her small but memorable role in Polly Stenham's play "Tusk Tusk," which premiered at London's Royal Court Theatre.
