Geoffrey Scott

Born in Hollywood, Geoffrey Scott is best known for his work on soap operas. He made his first television appearance on the Connecticut set soap opera "Where the Heart Is," which followed the highly dysfunctional Hathaway family. The next year he landed a recurring role on "Dark Shadows," a gothic soap opera that featured werewolves, ghosts, zombies, witches, monsters, and time travel. He went on to appear in a string of crime dramas, including: "Cannon," "Adam-12," "Harry O," and "Barnaby Jones." In 1980, he returned to soaps with a guest spot on the popular primetime soap, "Dallas." Two years later, he joined the cast of the acclaimed primetime soap "Dynasty," where he played Krystle Carrington's first husband, Mark Jennings. After a couple of seasons on the show, Jennings was murdered and Scott moved on to a string of guest appearances in lighter fare like "Night Court," "The Love Boat," and "Webster." By the late '80s, Scott's career was slowing down. Before settling into retirement, he appeared in a few more soaps: "General Hospital," "Baywatch," and "Guiding Light." Geoffrey Scott died on February 23, 2021 in Broomfield, CO at the age of 79.
