Gene Rayburn

Gene Rayburn worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. He hosted "Dough Re Mi" on NBC. In 1989, he hosted the AMC game show "Movie Masters." In 1962, he acted in the national tour of "Come Blow Your Horn." In 1958, he was an announcer on the summer variety series "The Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme Show" (NBC). He hosted the NBC children's game show "The Sky's the Limit." He raised in the Chicago, Illinois area. Rayburn worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including"I've Got a Secret" "The Amateur's Guide to Love" (CBS, 1971-72) and "The Steve Allen Show" (1955-1969). He also contributed to "The Steve Lawrence--Eydie Gorme Show" (NBC, 1957-58) and "What's My Line?" (1968-1975). In the seventies and the eighties, Rayburn devoted his time to various credits, such as "The Match Game" (CBS, 1972-79), "TV's Funniest Game Show Moments" (ABC, 1983-84) and "The Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour" (NBC, 1983-84). He also worked on "Break the Bank" (1985-86). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "NBC's 60th Anniversary Celebration" (1985-86), "This Is Your Life" (NBC, 1986-87) and "Indecision '92: The Republican National Convention" (Comedy Central, 1991-92). Rayburn last appeared on "Mark Goodson: Will the Real Mark Goodson Please Stand Up?" (1999-2000). Rayburn passed away in November 1999 at the age of 82.
