Fred Kelsey

Fred Kelsey was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Kelsey began his acting career with roles in such films as "Puppets of Fate" (1921), "Deserted at the Altar" (1922) and "Manslaughter" (1922). He also appeared in the Boardman Eleanor drama "Souls For Sale" (1923), "The Bishop of the Ozarks" (1923) and "The Gorilla" (1927). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in the drama "Discarded Lovers" (1932) with Natalie Moorehead, the Harrison Ford comedy "Love in High Gear" (1932) and the Sally O'Neil drama "The Moth" (1934). He also appeared in "Shadows of Sing Sing" (1934). In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in "The Invisible Ghost" (1941) with Bela Lugosi, the mystery "Secrets of the Lone Wolf" (1941) with Warren William and the Warren William mystery "The Lone Wolf Takes a Chance" (1941). He also appeared in "The Green Archer" (1941) and the biopic "Gentleman Jim" (1942) with Errol Flynn. Kelsey more recently acted in "O. Henry's Full House" (1952) with Fred Allen. Kelsey passed away in September 1961 at the age of 77.
