Franco Interlenghi

One of Italy's foremost leading men of the 1950s, Interlenghi made his debut as a juvenile player in Vittorio De Sica's "Shoeshine" (1946). His performance in Fellini's "I Vitelloni" (1953) established him as a leading man and for a time he was considered to be a screen rival of Marcello Mastroianni. After a fifteen year absence from films, he returned to screen acting with 1985's "Miranda." Interlenghi also established himself as a prominent stage actor and won acclaim for an Italian production of Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman."
