Forrest Wheeler
Forrest Wheeler was an American actor who landed his breakout role in 2015 as a castmember on ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat" (ABC, 2014-). Despite being very young when he nabbed the "Fresh Off the Boat" part, Wheeler always had a desire to become a professional actor. The rather precocious youth took his first acting class at the age of 7, and almost instantaneously knew that being a performer was his ultimate calling. Before long Wheeler was landing a multitude of commercial and voice-over work, while also auditioning for film and television roles. His first major role came in 2013 when he appeared as a young Cambodian boy that is gifted a rabbit in "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" (2013). That role, despite being small, put Wheeler onto the radars of various Hollywood casting agents. It wasn't long before the roles started pouring in, most of which were for TV. Over the next two years Wheeler landed guest spots on shows like "New Girl" (Fox, 2011-) and "Community" (NBC/Yahoo, 2009-2015), as well as nabbing the part of Young Kuai Liang on the marital arts TV web series "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" (YouTube, 2011-). Then in 2015 Wheeler was offered the part of Emery Huang on "Fresh Off the Boat." The series was based on the childhood of celebrity chef Eddie Huang, who grew up in a close-knit family in Orlando Florida. On the show Wheeler played Eddie's younger brother Emery, who is very smart for his age and filled with charisma. The second season of "Fresh Off the Boat" debuted on ABC in the fall of 2015.
