Folco Lulli

Folco Lulli was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Lulli appeared in such films as the Peppino DeFilippo comedy "Luci del Varieta" (1950), the sports drama "L' Air de Paris" (1954) with Arletty and the drama "The Great Hope" (1954) with Renato Baldini. He also appeared in "The Wages of Fear" (1955) with Yves Montand and the historical feature "Sign of the Gladiator" (1959) with Anita Ekberg. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, appearing in the dramatic adaptation "The House of Intrigue" (1959) with Curt Jurgens, the action film "I Tartari" (1960) with Orson Welles and "Sotto dieci bandiere" (1960). He also appeared in the Cameron Mitchell adventure "Erik the Conqueror" (1961) and the Paolo Stoppa musical "Neapolitan Carousel" (1961). In the latter half of his career, he continued to act in "The Great War" (1961), the Jack Hawkins biopic "Lafayette" (1962) and "The Organizer" (1964) with Marcello Mastroianni. He also appeared in the Anthony Quinn adventure "Marco the Magnificent" (1965). Lulli last acted in the Robert Dhery comedic adaptation "Trois hommes sur un cheval" (1970). Lulli passed away in May 1970 at the age of 58.
