Fernanda Andrade
Brazilian-born actress Fernanda Andrade grew up in Miami, landing her first role at the age of 16 in the Andy Garcia television biopic "For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story." After small guest parts on long-running crime dramas like "CSI: Miami" and roles in several short films, her first prominent appearance came in the 2007 ABC mini-series "Fallen." Andrade was third-billed as Vilma, the child of a human and an angel who dramatically escapes from Hell. More regular television work followed, including a guest part on crime drama "The Glades," shot close to her Florida hometown. In 2008, Andrade starred in the music video for pop singer David Archuleta's single "A Little Too Not Over You." During a lull in acting jobs, in 2009 Andrade expanded her resume further by becoming an associate producer on the reality series "Confessions of a Teen Idol." Her first leading part in a film came with 2012's low-budget horror smash "The Devil Inside." Shot for a mere $800,000, the exorcism drama was acquired by Paramount Pictures. The film went on to gross over $60 million worldwide, an enormously profitable return despite withering reviews and negative reaction from many viewers. When not nurturing her budding career, Andrade is a dedicated vegetarian and avid soccer fan.
