Ezra Stone
The term veteran entertainer truly describes this actor, director, producer and writer of stage, TV and film. In addition to playing the happy-go-lucky teen Henry Aldrich on radio's popular comedy "The Aldrich Family" from 1938-50, Stone racked up more than 1,000 other film, TV, radio and stage credits. Among them, a supporting role in the film "Those Were the Days," (1940) and directorial credits from the early days of TV to the late-1970s, including three short-lived early variety series: "Fireball Fun for All" (NBC, 1949), "The All-Star Revue" (NBC, 1950-53) and "Sound Off Time" (NBC, 1952-55). Stone's other TV directorial assignments included "Time for Elizabeth" (NBC, 1964), a comedy-drama special starring Groucho Marx, some installments of the campy sci-fi series, "Lost in Space" (CBS, 1965-68), and "Love American Style" (ABC, 1969-74).
