Ethan Embry

Ethan Embry was born into a family of actors, and both of his siblings have dabbled in the dramatic arts as well. Embry's own acting career started at the age of 13, costarred with Ed O'Neill in the John Hughes box-office flop "Dutch" in 1991. That same year, Embry also starred in "All I Want for Christmas" and the Albert Brooks romantic comedy "Defending Your Life." Ridley Scott included him in his all male, shirtless-hunk sea drama "White Squall," and Embry got the opportunity to share the screen with Hollywood hit-maker Tom Hanks in "That Thing You Do! ." He finished out his teen-role era in the "Vegas Vacation" installment of the "National Lampoon Vacation" film series with Chevy Chase." In 2002, Embry reunited with Reese Witherspoon, with whom he had starred in the 1993 Disney adventure "A Far Off Place," in "Sweet Home Alabama." By this time Embry had become a full-fledged male heartthrob, but seemed determined to branch out from predictable chick-flick films, with roles in the college stoner comedy "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" and the 2005 indie drama "Pizza." On television he has starred in the series "FreakyLinks," "L.A. Dragnet," and "Brotherhood." A trained gymnast, Embry often performs his own stunts.
