Esmeralda Pimentel
Starting her career in the modeling industry, Esmeralda Pimental went on to great success and acclaim as a telenovela actress. María Esmeralda Pimentel Murguía was born in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco. In 2007, she participated in the Nuestra Belleza México 2007 beauty pageant, representing the state of Jalisco, and was awarded the title of second runner-up. Pimental began appearing in television commercials and ads as a model in 2009 for Mexican clothing brands. She trained as an actress at the Centro de Educación Artística de Televisa and was offered a small role as Ada in the telenovela "Verano de amor" (2009). In 2012, she was cast as the unlucky Kenia in romantic telenovela "Abismo de pasión" (2012), for which she was nominated by TVyNovelas Award for the Best Female Revelation award, as well as the Bravo Award for Best Female Revelation which she won. She continued to rack up honors from TVyNovelas with the role of Mara in "Cachito de cielo" (2012) for which she was nominated for the Best Young Lead Actress Award. Her stint on "De que te quiero, te quiero" (2013) as the villainess Diana earned her another TVyNovelas Award nomination for Best Female Antagonist. Pimental was nominated again for the TVyNovelas Award for Best Lead Actress for her role as Lucía in "El color de la pasión" (2014).
