Emily Tarver

Austin, Texas native Emily Tarver made audiences laugh both on stage and on screen, but her path to being a performer wasn't always so clear. While attending the University of Texas at Austin, Tarver studied psychology and Spanish. It wasn't until she took an improv class during her senior year that Tarver decided to devote herself entirely to comedy. Intent on pursuing her new goal full force, she relocated to New York and began taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater, where she could learn from greats like Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch. She supported herself by working during the day as a social worker helping kids with developmental delays. Eventually, Traver began performing in sketch shows and as a stand-up comedian herself, appearing at venues like The Comedy Cellar. She also began performing with a comedic musical group called Summer and Eve. In 2013, she began regularly appearing on the humorous news and entertainment series "Best Week Ever" (VH1, 2004-2014). After appearing on the web series "The Residuals" (Youtube, 2014), Tarver landed a role as a series regular on the media satire series "Donny!" (USA, 2015-). That same year, she also produced and appeared in the short film "Kitty" (2015).
