Emily Alyn Lind
Child actress Emily Alyn Lind had the unlikely distinction of appearing in films directed by world cinema maverick Gasper Noé and Hollywood veteran Clint Eastwood before her 10th birthday. The child of actress Barbara Alyn Lind, she began her career by appearing in "The Secret Life of Bees," a historical drama which was released in 2008, just after the young actress had turned 6. The film starred Dakota Fanning, and found Lind playing a younger incarnation of Fanning's lead character. The next year, she acted in Noé's hallucinatory "Enter the Void," described by the filmmaker as a "psychedelic melodrama." As the decade drew to a close, Lind also began working in television, playing recurring characters in the ABC fantasy series "Eastwick" and the long-running soap opera "All My Children." She also made numerous TV guest spots in 2010, including roles on the crime dramas "Flashpoint" and "Criminal Minds," and co-starred in the made-for-television drama "Who Is Clark Rockefeller? ." In 2011, Lind landed a part in the high-profile film "J. Edgar," the Eastwood-directed biopic that starred Leonardo DiCaprio as the titular politician. Lind portrayed former child superstar Shirley Temple in the film. The same year, she acted in several episodes of the suspenseful ABC drama "Revenge."
