Emilia Jones

Before even reaching 10 years of age, actress Emilia Jones managed to land a major role on a popular television series as well as parts in multiple major motion pictures. Inheriting her flair for performance from her musician father, the London-born actress quickly took to a wide breadth of genres, including drama, comedy, fantasy, and horror. From her career-incepting role on "House of Anubis" (Nickelodeon 2011-13) to her part in the star-studded drama film "Youth" (2014), Jones laid the groundwork for a rich career yet to come. Emilia Jones was born, in London England, to musician father Aled Jones and mother Claire Fossett. By age nine, following regular attendance of acting classes at the Sylvia Young Theater School, Jones had already landed a starring role on a well-received series, "House of Anubis" (Nickelodeon 2011-13), which would foresee a number of even higher profile projects on television and in film. Immediately afterward, Jones appeared in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" (2011) and the romantic drama "One Day" (2011). Jones also pursued work on the stage, acting in productions such as Shrek the Musical (2011) and The Turn of the Screw (2013). Jones' next regular screen role came with the action thriller series "Utopia" (Channel 4 2013-14), which opened her up to the world of genre work, and, notably, an appearance on "Doctor Who" (BBC One 2005). Jones' presence on the big screen expanded thereafter, landing her parts in a variety of pictures. Included were the family film "What We Did on Our Holiday" (2014), costarring Rosamund Pike and David Tennant, as well as the horror movie "Residue" (2014). Jones also played opposite the likes of film veterans Michael Caine, Jane Fonda, and Harvey Keitel, as well as rising star Paul Dano, in the tender drama "Youth" (2014) by writer-director Paolo Sorrentino.
