Eme Ikwuakor
Eme Ikwuakor was born in Wheat Ridge, CO, to Nigerian-American parents. Though Ikwuakor did not initially set out for an acting career, he discovered his knack and passion for the craft during his time at the University of Colorado. Ikwuakor enrolled in the institution on a track and field scholarship, but explored acting classes at the behest of an academic advisor, developing a love for performance after playing the role of Tom Robinson in a university production of "To Kill a Mockingbird." Shortly after graduating from school, Ikwuakor was already landing professional acting gigs in on the big screen. His first came with the fantasy film "Ink" (2009), which led to roles in movies like "Midnight Raffle" (2009), "The New Republic" (2011), and "Murder in the Dark" (2013). Soon enough, Ikwuakor redirected his energies toward television, landing one-off parts on popular series like "Silicon Valley" (HBO 2014-) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (ABC 2014-), as well as recurring parts on shows like "Extant" (CBS 2014-15). Ikwuakor landed a starring role in the Marvel Studios television series "Inhumans" (ABC 2017-) as Gorgon, an anthropomorphic alien superhero with hooved feet and the ability to conjure seismic waves.
