Elisabetta Canalis

In July 2009, Canalis was suddenly on everyone's radar when she began dating George Clooney, one of Hollywood's most notorious bachelors. Since making their debut as a couple at that year's Venice Film Festival, Canalis and Clooney were frequently spotted traipsing around his Italian villa in Lake Como, Italy, canoodling in his yacht, and appearing together at various red-carpet events. During their romance, the couple contended with never-ending speculation that they had either split up or were engaged, particularly after Canalis was photographed wearing a conspicuously large bauble on her left hand in August 2010; the ring turned out to be a napkin ring. In spite of various public declarations that their romance was solid, the couple announced in July 2011 that they were split up. While it was her romance with Clooney that no doubt thrust her in the public eye, Canalis went on to continue her acting career in America. She had a recurring role as a mysterious Italian woman on the crime drama series "Leverage" (TNT, 2008-12) and was one of the contenders on season 13 of the reality competition series "Dancing with the Stars" (ABC, 2005-), along with actor David Arquette and Ricki Lake, among others. She also posed nude for an anti-fur PETA campaign in 2011.
