Ed Vassallo

Ed Vassallo was an actor best known for his portrayal of characters throughout various television series. Vassallo's career began with roles in "Law & Order" (1990-2010), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-) and "Sex and the City" (HBO, 2000). He also appeared in "The Sopranos" (HBO, 2000). He also took on a few movie roles at the time, appearing in the Kevin Corrigan drama "Roberta" (1999) and the fantasy romance "Trifling With Fate" (2000) with Teri Lamm. Several more television roles followed in the early 2000s, including stints on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (2001-2011), "Jonny Zero" (Fox, 2005) and "Law & Order: Trial by Jury" (NBC, 2005). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the Benjamin Bratt dramatic biopic "Pinero" (2001) and the Tom Cruise blockbuster sci-fi picture "War of the Worlds" (2005). In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles on "Six Degrees" (2006-07), "Fringe" (Fox, 2008-2013) and "Person of Interest" (CBS, 2011-16). Vassallo last appeared in "The Walker" (2014-15). Vassallo passed away in February 2014 at the age of 42.
