Ed Bruce
Actor-musician Ed Bruce made a splash in Hollywood both on and off-screen for more than three decades. Bruce worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Bret Maverick" (NBC, 1981-82), "Father's Day" (1990) and "Resurrection" (1980). He also contributed to "The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James" (ABC, 1985-86), "Tough Enough" (1983) and "Urban Cowboy" (1980) starring John Travolta. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the action film "Fire Down Below" (1997) with Steven Seagal. He also starred in the TV movies "Separated by Murder" (CBS, 1993-94) and "XXX's & OOO's" (CBS, 1993-94). More recently, he continued to act in "Mi Amigo" (2006) with Jose Rabelo, the crime picture "Public Enemies" (2009) with Johnny Depp and the Gwyneth Paltrow musical drama "Country Strong" (2010). Bruce also contributed music to the Jennifer Garner dramatic comedy "Catch and Release" (2007) and the Josh Brolin biographical drama "W." (2008). Bruce most recently acted in "The Pardon" (2013) with Jaime King. Ed Bruce died on January 8, 2021 in Clarksville, TN at the age of 81.
