Echo Kellum

Chicago native Echo Kellum grew up on the city's south side and began his acting career in the Windy City, doing local commercials and plays. At the tender age of 13, he booked his first regional theater tour, and began a life-long love of traveling and performing. In 2009 Kellum relocated to Los Angeles, where he began training in improvisational comedy at a variety of storied venues, including IO West, The Upright Citizens Brigade, and The Groundlings, a legendary improv company that helped launch the careers of comedy luminaries Jon Lovitz, Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig and Phil Hartman. Beyond improv and theater work, Kellum was cast in several network shows; his breakthrough role came as diffident best friend Tommy in the critically-acclaimed but little seen sitcom "Ben & Kate" (Fox 2012-13), which was cancelled after one season. The following year, Kellum was cast in the much-hyped sitcom "Sean Saves the World" (NBC 2013-14), about a divorced gay man (Sean Hayes) and his attempts to parent his teenage daughter while negotiating his professional life. Kellum played Hunter, Sean's sardonic co-worker who often got roped into schemes alongside the excitable Liz (Megan Hilty) against their cruel and eccentric boss Max (Thomas Lennon).
