Dyllon Burnside

Dyllón Burnside was born in Pensacola, FL. His earliest creative pursuits were in the realm of music, and at age 12 he joined a hip-hop/R&B band called 3D that went on to tour the United States, performing at the likes of Madison Square Garden. Burnside's transition to acting began with the musical stage; he appeared in the 2014 Broadway production of "Holler If Ya Hear Me," and the televised live musical "Peter Pan Live!" (NBC 2014) not long after. That same year, Burnside landed a role on the web series "High Maintenance" (Vimeo 2012-15), which itself would go on to find life as a television program on HBO beginning in 2016. Around the same time, Burnside graduated from the acting conservatory at Collaborative Arts Project 21 in New York City, and went on to pursue his bachelor's degree at the New School. After a stretch, Burnside found work in attachment with the musical television series "Pose" (FX 2018), created by the prolific Ryan Murphy; he was cast in the pilot as Ricky, one of many characters traversing a diverse and eclectic New York City circa 1986.
