Dorothy Dwan
Dorothy Dwan was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1924, she starred opposite Lefty Flynn in "The Breed of the Border." In 1936, she moved from Hollywood to Kansas City, Missouri, and became a registered nurse. In 1925, she was leading lady to Larry Semon in "The Perfect Clown." She moved back to California and worked as a realtor. Dwan's career beginnings included film roles in "Sinners in Silk" (1924), "The Wizard of Oz" (1925) and "The Canyon of Light" (1926). Dwan made film her next project, appearing in "The Great K & A Train Robbery" (1926), "Silver Valley" (1927) and "The Land Beyond the Law" (1927). She also appeared in "Tumbling River" (1927), "The Drifter" (1929) and "The Peacock Fan" (1929). Later in her career, Dwan acted in "The Fighting Legion" (1930). Dwan was married to Fred Buckels and had one child. Dwan passed away in March 1981 at the age of 75.
