Dorothy Appleby

Dorothy Appleby was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Appleby began her career with roles in "Under Eighteen" (1931), "As the Earth Turns" (1934) and "I Give My Love" (1934). Appleby began to focus on film after appearing in "Charlie Chan in Paris" (1935), the musical "Make a Wish" (1937) with Bobby Breen and "Small Town Boy" (1937). She also appeared in "The House of Mystery" (1938) and the comedic drama "The Flying Irishman" (1939) with Douglas Corrigan. Later in her career, Appleby acted in the Edward G Robinson action film "Manpower" (1941). Appleby passed away in August 1990 at the age of 84.
