Donald Sumpter
A fixture of British TV and films for four decades before striking gold on the series "Game of Thrones," actor Donald Sumpter began his career on the cult series "Doctor Who" in 1968. From there, Sumpter worked steadily in dramatic miniseries, often in adaptations of works by Shakespeare or Dickens. His work in the 2005 feature "The Constant Gardener" brought the veteran actor some acclaim, as did his role in the series "Being Human." But it wasn't until 2011, when Sumpter was cast in both "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and "Game of Thrones," that he achieved worldwide fame.
