Dominika Paleta
Born Dominika Paleta Paciorek in Kraków, Poland, Dominika Paleta was a Polish-born Mexican actress known for her work on Spanich-language telenovelas. She went on to study art history at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico. Her breakthrough role came in the form of Gema, the love interest to Carlos in the romantic telenovela "La usurpadora" (1998), for which she received the Eres Award for Best Newcomer. She continued to be featured in various Spanish-language telenovelas such as "Por un beso" (2000), where she played the younger version of one of the leads, and "La Intrusa" (2001), where she graduated to playing one of the main characters. In 2005, Paleta took a turn in the villain role for "Los Plateados" (2005). Since 2000 she was married to Uruguayan actor Fabián Ibarra, with whom she had two daughters, Maria and Aitana. She continued her villainess performances in "El juramento" (2008) as the depraved gold-digger, Alma. In 2008, Paleta took the role of Liliana on the Televisa telenovela "Mañana es para siempre," followed by her turn as fashion model Liliana on "Triunfo del amor" (2010). Her villainess streak was tapped again for the role of Sonia in "Por siempre mi amor" (2013). The year 2016 found her getting evil once more in the romantic drama "El hotel de los secretos."
